What happened?
Another Covid year! Our virtual reality continued much longer than we expected, hoped and planned for. In-person workshops, lectures and activities were replaced by lots of Zooms. More sew-at-home activities like Lone Robin, Round Robin, Inspired By and a new one, Color Wheel Study, kept us busy. Many, many quilt photos were uploaded to galleries on the website.

ACAC again extended an invitation to EBHQ to share our quilts in their public gallery, This year the quilts were hung, but, unfortunately the building was closed to the public. So, again, it is just photos.

Round Robin Challenge
After receiving their starting blocks in January, 24 eager participants began 5 rounds of sewing. Every two months quilts were exchanged in a parking lot because again, Covid still required us to be masked and socially distanced, and ideally, meeting outside.
The Big Reveal of all the completed tops took place on Zoom in December! Find out how the Round Robin worked here. Check out photos and comments about the finished tops in the Round Robin Gallery

Lone Robin - a Progressive Quilt Challenge
The Lone Robin continued for another year, propelled by Julia McLeod's inspirations. Staying home, each Lone Robin added a new element to their own quilt based on a monthly surprise prompt. Here's the list of monthly elements and a slide show of the Lone Robins in progress

| Inspired By

Samples by Pam Jensen | Color Wheel Study - Started in October
Another in-home activity started in October with the color orange. Quilters are encouraged to pull out a color wheel to create a small piece using your choice of color schemes, including triad, split complementary, monochromatic, analogous, etc. Essentially, play with color! Study the Color Wheel here, sew, then add to the Gallery.

Show & Tell Night
Despite Ryan's year-long yearning, and assurances that our favorite end-of-the-year event would happen in person per usual, Covid had other plans. Once again, photos were uploaded for viewing, and Jean Smith hosted the evening on Zoom. While we missed getting those close-up in-person views in the church pews, everyone can now closely examine the quilts anytime in the Virtual Show & Tell Gallery

Meetups
For yet another year, Covid protocols necessitated that Meetups be held on Zoom. Larger audiences than usually gathered at the church were treated to a variety of entertaining presentations by EBHQ members, and given many chances to share their work on-screen during Show & Tells for Inspired By, Lone Robin and the Color Wheel Study.
