Block Party

Come join us at our Block Party.

Currently we are making blocks inspired by various prompts. Each month we dive into different elements to make our blocks. At the end of this activity, you can make a top with your blocks or donate them to us, and we will make quilts to donate to Community Quilts (DDCQP). Your block can have a Traditional, Modern, or Improv approach. Anything goes!

You do not need to register to participate, but be sure to register for Quilters Gather to get the Zoom link to watch our reveal.

Please email a photo of your block(s) to EBHQuilters.Gather@gmail.com by 1 day before the next Quilters Gather and we will add them to our slide show.

The Card Trick

Any variation: wonky or traditional

Size: 12” finished block (or whatever size you want)

Color: A dark, a light, and a pop of color.

Theme: The Card Trick

How to Steps

Start with a 4-square block of different colors, and 4 rectangles that match width of square. Add 4 small and 2 large squares of plain background color to achieve the illusion of interwoven pieces.
