“Covered in Cobwebs”—Paula Zurowski’s ancient, but well-preserved, quilt—kicks off our "My First Quilt" evening. Created in a 1976 class with Roberta Horton, Paula’s finished quilt benefited from Roberta’s expert guidance as she learned the process of choosing fabric for a pattern, how to foundation paper piece and hand quilt, and how to pay attention to details. Discover how Paula subsequently incorporated Roberta’s quilting concepts into her sewing career. Follow Cobwebs’ journey, from its start in an Albany Adult School class to where it hangs today.
We also want you to share the story of your first quilt!
You can provide a picture, hold your quilt up to the Zoom screen, or just talk about it. To participate, select the appropriate choice at the end of the Meet-Up registration page. Deadline for signup is May 10th.
In addition, you are welcome to share your Inspired By pieces, Lone Robin, Postcard Exchanges, or any other items during Show and Tell. Deadline for photos is May 10th.
To take part in our Postcard Exchange, just mark "Yes" to the exchange question when you register for Meet Up.
