Whether you are quilting a lot or a little these days, there's a place for you at the Meet-Up! Lone Robins, postcard exchangers, show and tellers, interested bystanders, and anyone else is welcome to join us for the October Meet-up.
Learn how "One Thing Leads to Another." Susan Peck will present a short story of how a favorite illustration led to an inspiration. Then finding the perfect fabric led to an "ah hah" moment. "Ah hah" led to that inspiration being realized into a small quilt. A technique used in that quilt coupled with love for another illustration led to the creation of One Fine Day. Tah Dah!
Following Susan's talk, we will have show and tell. This can include Lone Robin items, postcards from the exchange, or any other items you want to share. Show and tell items can be something completed recently, still in progress, or something that has inspired you. Postcard exchangers, please show the card you received and let us know what the experience was like.
Did you miss out on the postcard exchange? No worries! You can join now. To join in the post card fun, register by October 8th and say Yes to the exchange when you register. Nancy will randomly pair participants and send the details to each person. Within two weeks of receiving your partner's information, you'll put a homemade fabric postcard in the mail to that person. Soon you will be receiving one from your partner! If you haven't made a fabric postcard before you can find some examples and a tutorial on Susan Dague's webpage.
To show an item during the Meet-up, you can either send your photos to Nancy at EBHQ.Meet.Up@gmail.com by October 7th at 7 pm and she will show it for you, or you can hold your item up to the camera during the meeting.
