Stitching Towards Discovery-an Improv Story

Join Maria for a deep dive into the history of improv in all art forms, as well as how it relates to contemporary quilt making. Maria asks and answers the following questions with humor, facts, and personal anecdotes. What is Improv Quilting and where did it come from? Who are the contemporary Improv quilt artists? What makes their work improvisational? How can you cultivate improv practices in your own work? And finally, what does the popularity of improv quilt making mean for the larger quilt world.
