This is a two day workshop. 9-12 each day (note dates two weeks apart)
Join us for this workshop in which you will learn how to create beautifully simple but compelling quilts. We will discuss color, values and design concepts, then sketch out a rough design on paper, keeping in mind that “simple” often makes more of a powerful statement than “busy”.
This class will involve mostly improv quilting without a ruler. We will learn curved piecing. Some simple fusing may be added. Bring your hand dyed or commercial fabrics: an interesting focus fabric and various values in other hand dyes, batiks, silks or prints. Gradient fabrics are especially effective for this type of quilt. We will cut and piece our quilts. Quilting and facing will be demonstrated and discussed.
Supply List.
