Due to COVID guidelines and restrictions for meetings of large in person groups, we are now offering these online activities.

We're hoping to entice adventurous EBHQ Quilters to join in the 2021 Round Robin groups. For inspiration, check out the 2020 Round Robin to view their finished quilt tops and commentary. December is the time to sign up, so we can get the 6-member groups organized for the January 24th initial block exchange.
Each participant choses a Traditional or Improvisational style and prepares a center block, which will be worked on by 5 other group members, with exchanges every 2 months. The final return to the "owner" will happen in November, in time for Show and Tell.

To quote last year's leader: "Participants should be good at honoring deadlines and be prepared to do good quality work." That said, there are no judges and no beadles.
We're looking forward to March's Meet-Up.
You have been hearing about a new activity that would be launched at the March Meet-Up and now here it is: Inspired By, a quilting and creativity challenge. The organizer of Inspired By, Meg Nixon, will provide a photo as inspiration to create a sewn image.
In addition to the launch of this new activity, we will be discussing Element #1 of the 2021 Lone Robin and having a show and tell. For more information about this Meet-Up and more about the Inspired By activity, click here.
The postcard exchange is continuing, to take part, register by March 11th and mark "Yes" to the exchange question when you register. More information here...

2021 Lone Robin - Progressive Quilt Challenge
Julia McLeod's 2020 Lone Robin Claire Sherman's 2020 Lone Robin
Welcome to a new year and a new Lone Robin Quilt Challenge!
This is a project you can undertake all on your lonesome - as most of us are, in these strange, pandemic times. Have fun sewing in your own creative space with no need to hand anything off to another quilter. This quilt will be all your own work.
Element 1: POINTS. This could mean stars, pinwheels, windmills, triangular log cabins, or zig zags. It could mean a single pointed triangle or a complex Crown of Thorns traditional block. It’s up to you. Quilters, start your machines! The Lone Robin rides again!
For details about creating your "Robin," see the Lone Robin Detail Page.
There will be 6 rounds, announced February thru July 2021 in a monthly email, and on the EBHQ website. We will also be sharing our progress at the EBHQ Meet-up Zoom meetings, on the second Thursday of each month. However, there is no class or workshop for this project, each quilter works on their own. August will be a catch-up month and September will be your chance to enter your quilt. Prizes and the final deadline TBA.
Meet-Ups are held the second Thursday evening monthly, except in December. Meet-ups are currently held on Zoom at 7:00 PM. The topic is usually announced around the first of the month. Check back later on the Activity Calendar under Virtual Meet-Up.
