Sisters- - - Five Decades of Quilting in America

Loving fabric and wanting to sew as a little girl, she would never have thought that she would open one of the first quilt shops in America and hang ten quilts outside on a summer day and that would launch the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.

This presentation will celebrate the memories of the 50^th anniversary of Sisters as well as Jean’s journey as an artist.

EBHQ In Person Show & Tell - September 16, 2026

PLEASE NOTE: Kiss it Goodbye will run from 5:15 to 5:45

then... Go grab a seat for the 6 pm Show & Tell

also.... Kiss it Goodbye will pick up again after the show for a while (just in case you come late to the show.)

Thank goodness for quilting and quilting friends! Let's gather together for this year's IN PERSON Show & Tell event and share the works that we have created this past year.

Show & Tell this year will be held Wednesday September 16 at 5:30 pm at the Northbrae Community Church & Community Center - 941 The Alameda (near Solano Avenue).

Members: To enter one or two quilts for display at the Show & Tell, complete the entry form here.

Also, we are combining the Show & Tell with a "Kiss it Goodbye" fabric swap which will start at 5:15. Please bring only quilting cottons of ¼ yard or more to add to the table, and pick up some New to You fabrics.

We need all of you to make this event happen! If you would like to volunteer to help, please email president@ebhq.org. We need:

A photographer to take pictures of your beautiful quilts
2 people to hold up quilts
2 people to drape quilts across benches and
Someone to moderate the Kiss It Goodbye tables in the entryway.

We look forward to coming together, sharing our creativity, and catching up with each other! You know we always have a good time together.

EPP vs. FPP: The Showdown!

English Paper Piecing or Foundation Paper Piecing? What's the difference? What are the pros and cons of each technique? Which technique is your favorite?

We will try to answer these questions as Tina shares dozens of quilts and many tips and tricks. Quilts from each technique will be pitted against each other and you will vote for your favorites.

At the end, we will tally up the votes and declare a winner!

Virtual Lecture - Value Creates the Design

Join Tara for a talk about value! She'll share why it is one of the most important and essential design tools at our disposal. She will present a lot of pictures that clearly show how value plays a role in creating movement, tension, or flow in the design of a quilt, and will leave attendees with a few exercises to take forward into their own quilt making.
