EBHQ member Tory Finn received this letter for a quilt she donated to "Quilts of Valor".
Dear Tory,
The quilt you made is beautiful! You are an angel! The letter you wrote touched us all. What a great addition to the legacy of the quilt.
My name is Ann. I am Bob’s mother. We received the dreaded call on Mother's Day. Bob was shot in the abdomen. The bullet damaged his intestines and hit his spinal column. Some of his small intestines were removed and his spine fused. He had no movement or feeling in either leg when his dad and I met him in Germany. He now is in the Tampa VA and has recovered some function in his left leg. His surgical wounds have healed. His right leg is now showing some feeling and can move a few toes. He is working hard at rehab. Having a beautiful quilt is a great addition to his hospital room, making it more home like. His dad and/or I spend every day with him. We tuck him in every night before we leave. The day the ladies delivered his blanket was a difficult day for him - pain and tired. Attached is a pix of the ladies who delivered quilt and then a pix of Bob with mom and dad.
THANK YOU!
Ann, Dan and Bob Hayes
